Aman Welfare Organization – Monsoon Floods 2025 Response

Southern Punjab

Aman Welfare Organization (AWO) has been actively responding to the 2025 monsoon floods in Multan, Khanewal, and Muzaffargarh districts of Punjab. Working on the ground since the very first days of the disaster, we have provided emergency relief and early recovery support in Water, Sanitation & Hygiene (WASH), Food Security, Shelter, Health, and Winterization to thousands of affected families**.

Key Activities & Achievements

Clean Water & Sanitation (WASH)

  • Installed 2 deep solar-powered communal water wells in Jalpur Pirwala and Sher Shah (Multan) – benefiting 600 people.
  • Installed 200 small household hand pumps in Jalalpur Pirwala and Sher Shah (Multan) – reaching 1,400 individuals.
  • Installed one communal solar water well in Basti Jalalabad, UC Muzaffarabad (Multan) – serving 2,800 people.
  • Installed one communal solar water well in Choti Jhok Wains, Tehsil Kabirwala (Khanewal) – serving 2,800 people.
  • Installed 150 household hand pumps in Shehar Sultan, Tehsil Alipur (Muzaffargarh) – benefiting 1,050 people.
  • Installed 28 communal hand pumps across flood-hit villages of Tehsil Kabirwala (Khanewal) – reaching 7,840 people.

Food Security & Hot Meals

  • Distributed cooked meals and water bottles to more than 15,000 individuals across Multan and Jalalpur Pirwala through daily hot-meal drives.
  • Provided family ration/meal boxes to 500–600 families on multiple occasions (covering 3,500–4,200 people per drive).
  • Served hot cooked meals to 1,600 people in Khan Bela, Jalalpur Pirwala.

Shelter & Non-Food Items

  • Distributed 100 tents (50 in Multan city + 50 in Alipur) – sheltering 700 affected people.
  • Distributed 100 winterization kits in Jalalpur Pirwala and Sher Shah.

Health Support

  • Organized medical camps treating 540 flood-affected people in Basti Walwat (Multan) and combined with cooked-meal distribution.

Through these combined efforts, Aman Welfare Organization has directly assisted more than 19,600 flood-affected individuals in southern Punjab during the 2025 monsoon emergency.
